OPEN POSITION 1 NEW!!
Early-stage researcher with cell culture and biochemistry background
The Statistical Inference and Biological Modeling lab is seeking a highly motivated early-stage researcher with a strong background in mammalian cell culture, metabolic gene modification, cancer metabolism, and large-scale metabolic modeling interested in gaining experience in a growing multidisciplinary and dynamic research environment.
See "Job opportunities" for details.
OPEN POSITION
Post-doc position in "Genetically-encoded fluorogenic biosensor for drug discovery"
The Chemical Biology unit is seeking for a highly motivated post-doc to develop novel biosensor technology for drug development and biomarker discovery. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Biochemist, or a related field. The position is available immediately and applicants will be considered until the vacancy is filled. See "Job opportunities" for details.
IN THE SPOTLIGHT
Memory CD8+ T cell, B cell responses, and SARS-CoV-2 protection after mRNA vaccination
Current SARS-CoV-2 vaccine recipients differ in infection history and the magnitude of their elicited antibody response.
A large human cohort distinguished by these parameters are queried for effector memory T cell subsets, memory B cells and ability to recognize epitopes from SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern.
IN THE SPOTLIGHT
FOXA1 regulates alternative splicing in prostate cancer

The study identified a new role for the already known prostate cancer oncogene FOXA1, demonstrating its key function in controlling alternative "splicing," and thus influencing the emergence of gene variants in cancer. The identification of such variants may help predict disease prognosis, and the variants themselves may represent new drug targets to improve patient survival.
