IIGM had the pleasure of organizing an intensive and stimulating scientific activity for the ColoMARK project, a Marie Curie Doctoral network, involving 10 PhD candidates (biologists and bioinformaticians under 35) and their supervisors (in total 9 researchers) active in the field of colorectal cancer.
Alessio Naccarati and Barbara Pardini (researchers at IIGM) were the organizers as part of the ColoMARK board. Also the researchers of Naccarati’s group, composed of 12 young scientists including PhD students and postdocs, was present.
The event was further enriched by contributions from three internationally renowned speakers: Prof. Paolo Vineis (Professor of Environmental Epidemiology at Imperial College London and Emeritus Scientist at IIGM), Dr. Giulio Ferrero, a young researcher from the University of Turin, and Dr. Carlo Senore (Head of colorectal cancer screening for prevention in Piedmont).
