IIGM Foundation (Italian Institute for Genomic Medicine) is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with Law no. 4 of 9 January 2004.
This accessibility statement applies to:
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the requirements set out in Annex A of the UNI EN 301549 standard, due to the cases of non-compliance and/or the exemptions listed below.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is not accessible due to non-compliance with Law no. 4/2004.
For the purpose of preparing this accessibility statement, we have taken into account the WCAG 2.1 standards. Testing was carried out using assistive technologies such as the main screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver), whose purpose is to interpret page content and present it as spoken output.
The test results show that some users may encounter difficulties in accessing certain pages or features of this website, as they are only partially accessible. The non-compliances and the violated success criteria are listed below:
1.1.1 Non-text content: some images on the website do not have alternative text, for example on the INSTITUTE page. Other images have alternative text that is not appropriate or consistent, for example on the PARTNERSHIPS AND COLLABORATIONS page.
1.3.1 Information and relationships: heading levels are not always used consistently across the website pages. In addition, on the CONTACTS page, there are no instructions informing users that the fields marked with an asterisk in the form are mandatory.
1.3.2 Meaningful sequence and 2.4.3 Focus order: some elements are not detected in the correct logical order by assistive technologies, and when navigating via keyboard.
1.4.3 Contrast (minimum): the minimum contrast between foreground text and the background is not always sufficient, for example, light blue text on a white background on the CONTACTS page.
2.1.1 Keyboard: the website can be navigated using a keyboard; however, some elements cannot be reached.
2.4.1 Bypass blocks: the website does not provide skip links.
2.4.4 Link purpose (in context): the website contains generic links, such as “Learn more” and “Link.” In addition, some empty links have been detected.
2.4.7 Visible focus: the website can be navigated using a keyboard; however, the focus is not always visible.
3.3.1 Error identification: on the website, some error messages near input fields are not automatically detected when navigating with assistive technologies.
3.3.2 Labels or instructions: the website contains elements without labels, such as on the CONTACTS page, and elements with labels that are not consistent with the page language, such as on the PARTNERSHIPS AND COLLABORATIONS page.
3.3.3 Error suggestions: on the website, in some cases, when an input error occurs, no suggestions are provided to help correct it.
